North Star Camp

Founded in 1945, North Star Camp is a traditional boys camp located in Hayward, WI. Every summer, over 200 boys from all over the world call North Star their home away from home. North Star offers a diverse program with athletics, watersports, creative arts and adventure activities. Campers sign up for the activities of their choice each week which allows them to pursue their own passions and interests. Campers live with their well-vetted high school, college and post-college aged counselors in a cabin with other campers their same grade. We aim to have a 3:1 Camper to Counselor Ratio. Counselors also teach activities during the day. The counselors are there to make camp fun and safe for the campers. Each camper goes on a wilderness camping trip with their cabinmates, counselors and a trained trip leader. The wilderness North Star trip program is a progressive trip program; trips get longer and/or more difficult as the campers get older (but are always age appropriate!).
