"Established in 1967 by a group of local educators, the Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth (MITY) is dedicated to offering dynamic educational experiences for students. It prioritizes interactive, multidisciplinary learning to cultivate intellectual curiosity, enhance creative problem-solving skills, and foster an environment of respect and open-mindedness among a diverse group of talented learners. Key to MITY's approach is maintaining small class sizes, employing outstanding faculty, and creating a supportive atmosphere that allows students to discover and hone their individual abilities. MITY's ExplorSchool program specifically caters to middle school students in grades 5-7, providing an engaging and intellectually stimulating setting. The program is crafted to challenge and captivate students who are eager to learn, offering a wide array of courses that go beyond traditional school subjects. ExplorSchool encourages in-depth exploration and advanced learning, featuring small classes, expert instructors, and numerous hands-on activities. As a result, this summer program offers a uniquely enriching educational experience for participating students."
