Mayhew Program for Boys

The Mayhew Program, established in 1969, is an all-boys program in New Hampshire that uniquely combines year-round mentoring with a residential summer program. It offers a free, comprehensive experience for at-risk boys, spanning from their enrollment until high school graduation. The program begins with a 25-day summer camp on Mayhew Island, focusing on physical, social, and emotional challenges in a supportive environment. In later years, participants engage in adventure-based activities and can even earn scholarships for post-secondary education. The program's structure fosters self-responsibility, respect, and community involvement focuses on encouraging self-belief, teamwork, and personal best.
