DigiPen Pre-College Summer Program

DigiPen Academy provides intensive, online four-week summer pre-college programs in Art & Animation, Game Design, Video Game Programming, and Music & Sound Design. The programs offer a comprehensive introduction to college-level coursework in each discipline, equipping students with vital skills for success in the game industry.    Aligned with the curriculum of DigiPen Institute of Technology in mind—one of the world’s premier Video Game Design Schools—the program ensures students gain expertise in their chosen track. Upon completion, students receive an official transcript of their grades, which is valuable for inclusion in their college applications.    Faculty-level instructors lead morning sessions, covering foundational principles and essential academic concepts, while afternoons are devoted to immersive project labs. Here, students from all four tracks participate in an online project lab, where they collaborate across disciplines, assume diverse roles, and collaboratively create a game from ideation to completion, applying their acquired knowledge in a real-world context.    Each program track offers a unique opportunity for aspiring game developers to acquire hands-on experience and foundational knowledge in game design, programming, animation, or sound design. The structured format prepares students for the demands and expectations of college-level studies and the dynamic game development sector.
