Camp Appalachia

Camp Appalachia is dedicated to enriching the lives of vulnerable youth. It focuses on several key areas: dynamic character and leadership development, spiritual growth, substance abuse prevention, and social and educational advancement. The camp operates with a strength-based model, emphasizing the positive attributes of individuals, such as potential, strengths, and capabilities. It offers a variety of activities designed to ensure a fun and safe experience, accommodating both traditional and specialty camp programs. Camp Appalachia also embraces the Positive Youth Development (PYD) approach, which believes that successful development comes from positive attributes enabling youth to reach their full potential, rather than just the absence of risky behavior.
