Alaska Geographic Teen Expeditions

Alaska Geographic Teen Expeditions offer enriching outdoor experiences for teenagers. These expeditions, completely tuition-free, are designed to foster community, leadership, and outdoor skills in young Alaskans aged 13 to 18. Participants have the opportunity to engage in various activities, such as archaeology, bird watching, trail design, backpacking, and kayaking. The programs, held in stunning Alaskan settings like Nome, Homer, Seward, and Prince William Sound, emphasize learning and stewardship of the environment. Teens work alongside National Park Service staff and community elders, gaining hands-on experience in conservation and cultural heritage. Tailored for varying experience levels, these expeditions start and end in Anchorage, with potential support for transportation, food, and lodging.
